Residual Pressure Valve for Disc Brake Systems - 2PSI

These residual pressure valves retain a minimum brake line pressure to help eliminate excessive pedal travel in both disc and drum brake systems. The 2 PSI valve is used in disc brake applications where the master cylinder is mounted below the horizontal plane of the calipers and fluid drain back occurs from gravity and vibration.

DESIGN

• Made from billet aluminium
• Anodised black
• M10 x 1mm thread - industry standard thread type for brake systems
• Arrow on the valve shows direction in which the valve should be placed
• Factory set pressure of 2PSI
• Single flare

USE

• Install the valve as close as possible in line to the master cylinder to ensure as much of the line as possible is pressurised
• Enhances brake performance as it holds a constant pressure in the brake line to ensure the calliper is nearer to the disc, ready for the system to be activated
• Greatly aids turning under braking
• Especially beneficial where the brake master cylinder is located below the horizontal plane of the callipers
